H500 Pro Spec Folding carbon fibre Quadcopter complete built and test flown system

Availability: In stock

Price as configured: £570.00

Quick Overview

Our new Pro Spec build of our H500 carbon fibre folding quadcopter with Pixraptor flight controller embeded in the centre of the frame and Neo8 GPS as standard.

These are powered by X4 3508 710Kv motors with lots of power to spin the 12"x4" direct fit carbon fibre props that we supply with them. Using the direct fit props provides added strength and better balancing due to not having a hub.

These come with the Pixraptor flight controller embeded into the centre of the frame as standard. With the Neo8 GPS/compass as standard for super accurate (0.6m) position holding.

If you select the X8R receiver or Taranis combo then we include the Mavlink telemerty module as standard.

This is a very capable and stable rig, ideal for travelling as it folds down into a very compact format with the props still on so.

They come in a waterproof hard tough case so will be protected during transport.

Brushless gimbal shown is NOT included as standard.

They are very light weight so with a 4S 5200mAh lipo they are 1.6Kg all up flying weight. So you should get about 20 minutes of flying time. Or 30 minutes when using an 8000mAh Lipo.

These units are custom built for each order and test flown with the content of your order before being dispatched so you can just take them out of the box and start flying without having to worry about calibrating or setting things up.

We normally complete orders for systems within 1 to 2 weeks from date of order depending on work load. You can always call us or check your order status which is updated and emailed to you during the process.

The front bars fit our Walkera brushless gimbals perfectly for GoPro cameras.

For a complete aerial photography or FPV package you will need to select from the tions below:
Brushless gimbal
video lead
video transmitter
video receiver & USB AV capture card (if using your laptop as the video screen or your laptop as a ground control station)
or instead of the video receiver above we have a 7" FPV monitor with built in battery and video receiver
we recommend the circular polarised antenna set to imrpvoe video quality and range
minimOSD (provides the flight data overlaid on the video screen with flight battery info and arrow to home etc

The 3DR Radio telemetry kit allows you to control the quadcopter from your laptop as a true ground control station. If you like you can even fly the quadcopter with a Joystick as demonstrated in our video on YouTube: Flying a quadcopter with a Joystick in Mission Planner
When using the 3DR Radio telemetry you don't need the minimOSD as the flight data is passed through the telemetry link.
To get the ground control station system as demonstrated in the video you will need:
video transmitter
circular polarised antenna set
video receiver
USB AV capture card
1000mAh lipo to power the video receiver
camera of your choice

Exceptional quality, really good service, very kind and precise when I asked questions over the phone: I plan to buy other drones on DroneShop! Highly recommended. (Posted on 18/08/2017)
Really pleased with H500 Review by Nick

Having built my own 250 FPV all I can say is that the quality of Peter's workmanship is exceptional. You can really see the pride that he puts into building his quadcopters.

The motors on the H500 are really smooth which means that the quad is significantly quieter than I was expecting for its size. The PX4Lite that Peter has put in rather than the Pixhawk has all the telemetry responses that Peter demonstrates on his videos. These give you a lot of confidence about what the system is doing.

Peter is really responsive to questions which adds to the experience.

Overall a great machine if you want to travel with such a stable machine. Now need to get the goPro working!

Excellent service, excellent product. Review by Chris

Quad arrived really quickly but unfortunately had a problem with an ESC stuttering. Arranged with Peter to head over and he had diagnosed the problem and fitted a new ESC while I walked the dogs, he also too the time to run through mission planner a bit with me and to tune the quad more to my flying style.
I've now had time to use it a bit and can only say good things, it performs faultlessly every time, is much quicker to pick up satellites than a Naza, sits motionless in calm air and is rock solid in a wind. Switch to stabilise mode and it has a great turn of speed and agility. The Walkera gimbal smooths out the footage beautifully and duration with a 4s 10,000 mah lipo is easily in excess of half an hour.
I once commented to Peter that I was unsure if I should have bought a phantom or not - I'm so glad I didn't. (Posted on 20/08/2015)
Only one word to describe this - WOW Review by Andrew

Just received my H500 Pro delivered by courier next day to Cyprus, and words cannot describe it. Peter does such a wonderful job at setting things up. Would have worked out of the box but for a few silly things which were my fault and the fact that this purchase was using some bits from a previous quad - so Peter never had all my things to set it up with. Took a little longer than quoted to be completed due to issues Peter had with his 3D printer and the weather, but worth the wait. A word of praise for Peter's customer service - it is always well beyond the call of duty and makes one feel a wanted and valued customer. His patience is incredible and diplomats could learn a lot from his approach!! Shipped to Cyprus in a superb hard waterproof case. Drift mode is awsome. RTL lands within 0.6 metres. Flys at 750cm/s great. Looks as though it is around 30 mins flight time from 10000 mah battery but yet to see the ultimate limits, and appears as solid as a rock. For some unknown reason had to re-calibrate accelerometers after it's flight here but otherwise no issues. Any niggles? Yes - sadly Peter has reverted to the standard non folding legs due to weaknesses in the clip-on ones and the foam inserts in the standard legs deform and flatten (under the weight of large battery packs any way) which could result in the leg sides penetrating soft ground. Firmer foam may help. Other than that a fantastic package that is superior in all ways to my previous quad - a Spider. Just waiting for my gimbol to get (hopefully) jello-free footage from the on board camera.
Would I recommend the H500 and Droneshop? - yes, without any hesitation. For customer service and assistance Peter King is THE King!!
Just been advised that my mobius gimbal has completed testing and due to be sent out to me. H500 continues to amaze me. Have done a flight of 6km round trip, 2km away from launch point and just 30 sec loss of video with the 500mw video transmitter when at furthest point. Fantastic machine. (Posted on 29/04/2015)
